Recom relocation specialises in moving international employees and private individuals to Austria, taking care of their immigration and relocation needs. In addition, recom relocation provides intercultural training, supporting newcomers to Austria to acclimatising more smoothly to Austrian life. We are proud of our diverse client base, which includes both companies, ranging from large corporations to small businesses, and private clients.

We understand that the settling-in process extends beyond finding accommodation. Whilst moving to a new country is exciting, it can also come with challenges and a sense of isolation. Recognising this, we launched club melange in 2023 – an initiative designed to create a welcoming environment for expats in Vienna. We organise events that allow expats to forge connections and enjoy activities, all aimed at fostering community and cultural exchange.

French co-founder and relocation boss who experienced the whole process herself. Together with Scotty, her big fluffy doggo, she holds intercultural training to help you settle into your new home quicker.

Experience has been the cornerstone of our company. In 1999, Angelika Brenner-Cecerle and Martine Pey founded recom relocation, drawing on their first-hand knowledge of living and working abroad.

Martine arrived in Vienna in the early 1990s as a French foreign exchange student. Enchanted by the city, she decided to make it her home. She recalls her experiences of acquiring her residence permit back then: “Not only was the bureaucratic process exhausting but looking for a home was an ‘adventure’”. After completing her studies, Martine joined an international company, and found herself frequently offering settling-in advice to international colleagues and friends. “Even top managers were dependent on the goodwill of their colleagues”.

Meanwhile, Austrian-born Angelika had her own set of experiences. Her fond memories of studying in the UK contrast with the bureaucratic challenges she faced to get there. Upon returning home, she observed the difficulties of her international peers whilst navigating the paperwork to live and work in Austria.

Drawing from their collective experiences and those of their peers, Angelika and Martine recognised a real need for a service to support others in achieving their goals of living and working in Austria. Thus, recom relocation was born.

Over the past 25 years, recom relocation has successfully supported numerous businesses, both large and small, in relocating thousands of international employees. Additionally, recom has catered to the needs of private clients seeking to make Austria their new home.

Angelika and Martine’s enthusiasm and commitment to the company have only grown stronger over time. They take immense pride in their 25 years of experience and the trust and loyalty of their clients.
